If you are eagerly waiting for the Resurgence map, then you are in for a treat. That is because the much-awaited map will be finding its way to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 soon. Read on to know more about it!
While the game continues to be popular and has a growing player base, there is no denying that a lot of the recent changes made some fans disappointed. Matches are just slower, a bigger map to roam around, and resources have become exhaustingly important in order to survive. In a video game world where fans and players alike love fast-paced titles, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is extremely slow and more expensive.
It seems though that something refreshing is coming soon as a brand new Resurgence map. According to reports, the said map will arrive with a new game mode during the launch of the second season. While the latter is confirmed to arrive come February 1, 2023, it is unclear whether the new mode and map will be made available that day or later as the season progresses.
As of writing, details about the map have been scarce, except for a leaked image suggesting that the Castle from Call of Duty: World at War might be included. But like the Resurgence map, there is no official announcement yet.
It is very likely that players will know more about the new Resurgence map (and if it is indeed coming) later in January. In Call of Duty: Warzone, developers took seven months to launch Resurgence. Of course, COD: Warzone back then was a completely new game and everything had to be made from scratch. Since COD: Modern Warfare 2 is not, it is possible the new map and game mode could arrive earlier than expected.
Chances are, the new map and game mode have been in development for quite some time now and the developers are simply wanting to release them post-launch in support of the hit battle royal title. Well, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players will know for sure soon.
