With a Netflix series on the way and a highly anticipated port to the Nintendo Switch in October, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt continues to prove its lasting effect on video games and media as a whole. CD Projekt RED’s masterpiece of storytelling and engaging action adventure gameplay, along with the developer’s rather marked resistance to controversial monetization schemes have made them favorites in the eyes of many gamers, and their mascot, Geralt of Rivia, still remains as one of the most recognized and beloved characters in modern video games.
While what the future holds for the series is still uncertain, The Witcher 3 will have a host of new players come October with the release of its port on the Switch. This may be the perfect time to also revisit the game for yourself, as even now, four years after its initial release, it still manages to hold up extremely well as a narrative-driven action RPG with deep emphasis on player choice. The graphics aren’t dated either, and there’s much more gameplay to be had with its two critically-acclaimed expansions: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.
That said, there’s also another way to celebrate the game’s rerelease for the Nintendo Switch, and that is to pad out – or maybe even start – your collection of memorabilia for The Witcher 3. Here are some of the best statuettes and figures of The Witcher 3, which are must-haves for all of the series’ biggest fans.
Dark Horse Deluxe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Geralt Grandmaster Ursine Figure
What better way to start off a proper collection with than with the titular Witcher himself, Geralt of Rivia, otherwise known as the Butcher of Blaviken. Geralt here is adorned with his Grandmaster Ursine armor set, which is the best set to go to if you want extreme protection. At a certain number of pieces, it enhances your Quen, the sign Geralt uses to protect himself with the shield. Aesthetic-wise, it’s an amazing armor set that gives Geralt the look of a knight that’s also a hunter, with the metal clashing with leather in the coolest way possible.
This officially licensed figure depicts Geralt standing at 9.5 inches tall, with his steel sword drawn and raring for a fight with humans. The statuette also has a pretty chunky base depicting the Wolf symbol, of which Geralt is best known for.
Dark Horse Deluxe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Yennefer Figure
Even though The Witcher 3 was her first outing in the video games, Yennefer of Vengerberg remains one of the most popular characters in the whole series. Depicted as a sorceress who is also Geralt’s true love, Yennefer’s history with the Witcher spanned and was hinted at in a large number of the games’ stories, and comes to a head in The Witcher 3 as her adoptive daughter Ciri gets tangled with the Wild Hunt. If you’re one of the players who thinks that her relationship with Geralt mattered the most due to them sharing a family together, and who ultimately picked her over Triss Merigold in The Witcher 3, this figure is great for you.
Yennefer’s statuette stands at 7.85 inches and shares the same base as Geralt’s figure, making it a great pairing to go with if you’ve already got the first one. She’s dressed here in her black and white garb from the game, complete with the many frills and with her black, flowing hair draped over her shoulders.
Dark Horse Deluxe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Triss Figure
The red-haired legendary Temerian sorceress Triss Merigold has been in all three Witcher games, and for the most part is one of the trilogy’s focuses was their history together. A founding member of the Lodge of Sorceresses, as well as a prominent member of King Foltest’s royal council, Triss is a cunning and exemplary sorceress, and her ties to the politics of the Continent made her a very integral character to the scenes involving the various factions in the story. Due to her having a much more pronounced history with Geralt over the course of the three games, there are players who believe that it is her and Geralt should end up together; if you’re part of that faction, then this is the figure to go to.
This figure of Triss is based on her original appearance in The Witcher 3, minus the hood which she needed to wear due to the events in the game. The 7.75-inch statuette also stands on the same base as Geralt’s, with the figure custom-painted for incredible likeness and authenticity.
Dark Horse Deluxe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Ciri Figure
In more ways than one, The Witcher 3 was not about Geralt, but rather his ward and adopted daughter Ciri. Born Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon as the sole daughter of Nilfgaardian Emperor Emhyr van Emreis, Ciri’s journey saw her being hunted down by a force from another world called the Wild Hunt, which seeks to tap into her vast power in order to save their own world. For much of the game, Geralt tracks Ciri down, with flashbacks having you play as her to show some important points in her journey. Her appearance in the game was very well received, and her character is an incredible complement to Geralt’s own.
This figure of Ciri denotes her with her silver sword, as the events of The Witcher 3 sees her training to be a Witcher herself, under the tutelage of the Witchers Vesemir and Geralt. The figure stands at 7.5 inches and comes with the same Wolf symbol-base, and is hand-painted to incredible likeness from Ciri’s appearance in the game.
Dark Horse Deluxe The Witcher III: Wild Hunt: Geralt in Bath Polyresin Statuette
If you’re in the market for something that’s a bit more humorous, then this figure of Geralt may be your best bet. Featuring one of the most iconic scenes in the game’s opening, which has Geralt relaxing in a wooden tub, this statuette is a meme come to life in detailed and sculpted polyresin. It also comes with a rubber ducky, because why the hell not. Now if only this has Yennefer along with it, with a faithful rendition of her during that scene, then this would be the perfect figure for any superfan’s collection.
Kidding aside, this officially licensed statuette is greatly detailed and beautifully colored, really capturing Geralt in one of his more peaceful moments as he lounges in a bath after a hard day’s work of killing Drowners for measly crowns.
