A full version of Chernobylite has been launched on PC. Set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, this sci-fi survival horror RPG has players take on the role of one Igor. Igor is a physicist and a former employee of Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. He returns to the region to learn more about the circumstances that led to the mysterious disappearance of his fiancé.
The game will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 7. Versions for next-gen consoles are to be released sometime later this year.
For the full version, players can expect these changes:
- The game can now be completed in around 25 hours.
- 15 new story missions added.
- 11 new characters are introduced. There are new side characters and a new companion.
- Explore 10 new maps.
- Face off against new enemies including four new monsters.
- Use five new weapons with each having its own upgrades.
Changes aside, features of the game are:
- Base Building and Crafting
- Don’t forget to construct a base for you to have a place to plan your daily operations.
- Make use of workstations to craft gadgets, create weapons, and even modify existing equipment.
- Resource and Team Management
- In the game, companions are important since they play a role in your survival.
- Each day, players must do careful planning and assign resources.
- Non-Linear Storytelling and Strategy
- The story is in the hands of players, and no playthrough is the same.
