A new cinematic trailer has been released for Hogwarts Legacy and is surely going to hype up the game even further. The trailer shows parts of Hogwarts along with a familiar ghost and what could be an ancestor of a familiar character.
After giving us a peek at Hogwarts, the scenes then shift outside with students fighting spiders in the Forbidden Forest. We also get to hear an unforgivable curse and see a dragon.
Don't take our word for it and better you can watch the cinematic trailer yourself below:
A New Harry Potter Experience
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG set in the same world of the Harry Potter books. Players take on the role of a student that holds the key to an ancient secret that could tear apart the wizarding world. Players can customize their characters and craft potions while also trying to master spell casting; they can even upgrade talents.
One important thing to remember is that players may not meet the iconic characters they've grown to love. That's because the story happens sometime in the 1800s. Still, it would be exciting to meet the ancestors of famous characters.
Deluxe Edition
Pre-order of the game is now available and those who do get the Onyx Hippogriff Mount. There's also the Deluxe Edition which not only has the base game but also these:
- Thestral Mount
- Dark Arts Battle Arena
- Dark Arts Cosmetic Set
- Dark Arts Garrison Hat
- 72 Hours Early Access
Voice Talents
While the cinematic trailer was exciting, the hype had already been upped a level sometime back with the reveal of the voice talents. Leading the pack is actor Simon Pegg (Star Trek, Mission Impossible) who voices Phineas Nigellus Black. Black is the present Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and comes from a long lineage of Slytherins. He is hated by students and apparently the feeling is mutual.
Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey) voices Professor Matilda Weasley. She's Gryffindor and currently the Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts. She is the one responsible for helping the players catch up with other students by giving them the Wizard’s Field Guide.
In Hogwarts Legacy, players experience the life of a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The game is launching worldwide February 10 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Meanwhile, versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are coming out April 4, and July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
