The Clash of Clans May update has been released, and it contains the first Elixir troop Supercell has unveiled in almost four years: the Baby Dragon. Other additions included in the update are Miner troops, as well as a couple spells and new play modes.
The Baby Dragon will be unlockable for Clash of Clan players at Town Hall 9 and have a special power mode boost when deployed by their lonesome, visible on screen by the dragon turning purple . This means that when multiple Baby Dragons are released together, their attack speed and attack damage amounts will be diminished compared to what it would be if they were by themselves.
The other new troop included in the Clash of Clans May update are Miner troops, first introduced into Clash of Clans paracosm within Clash Royale . Unlockable at Town Hall 10, Miner troops will be able to burrow underneath defenses like walls and emerge next to their designated targets. Miners will not take damage while they are hidden underneath the ground.
There are two new spells introduced with the Clash of Clans May update: one Dark Elixir spell and one Elixir spell. The Dark Elixir spell, called Skeleton spell, is unlockable at Town Hall 9 and will allow Clash of Clans players to summon an army of Skeletons wherever they choose to. The other spell, unlockable at Town Hall 10, is called Clone spell and will create clones of troops that enter a player designated circle, up to the maximum amount of troops allowed on the battlefield.
Also introduced with the update is the Friendly Challenge play mode, where Clash of Clans players can test their own defenses with friendly attacks by fellow clanmates. Players who engage in these friendlies will not have any of their gold, troops or traps consumed, so it seems like the perfect way to practice potential strategies in the game without committing or putting any resources at stake.
Clash of Clans is available for download for both iOS and Android devices.
