If you’re a Nintendo Switch player hoping to try some real-time tactics game, then you’re in luck. Commandos 2: HD Remaster will roll out to the platform this Friday, December 4. Nintendo is also offering a little bit of bonus with a 10% pre-order discount.
For those new to this game, Commandos is a game series that started back in 1998. The first game was Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines. There have been five games in total, all available for PC. It’s Commandos 2: Men of Courage that is receiving the remaster treatment. It’s interesting to note that this is the title, which received the highest rating.
In Commandos 2, players take on the role of an allied officer tasked with overseeing a group of commandos. Each one has different skills and abilities players can use to finish missions. The game has two training stages to let players familiarize the controls. There's also a total of ten story missions to complete. Each mission usually has a primary and a secondary objective. Once players complete all story missions, they will get access to ten bonus missions.
The Switch version features revamped tutorials and campaign missions. To boot, it is optimized for both the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con and Pro Controller. This should ensure a good performance. Here’s what players can expect:
- Experience the Commandos series in HD for the first time on Nintendo Switch.
- Every tutorial and campaign mission has been revamped to offer reworked controls and as well as modernized UI.
- Get access authentic to WWII vehicles, scenarios, and weaponry such as tanks and bazookas.
