The latest photos from the set of The Defenders highlights Sigourney Weaver’s mysterious villain role. Unfortunately, the new shots don’t hold any clues to the identity of ‘Alexandra,’ Marvel’s upcoming big bad. In one shot, she’s giving a classic villainous stare from the backseat of a black car. These aren’t the first set photos to leak this week. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage seemed to be sharing a fun moment in New York this weekend. There’s no awkward sexual tension as far as we can see, although the two could have just been cracking jokes between takes.
Luke Cage has moved on from Jessica Jones, first with Detective Misty Knight, then with Claire Temple. As far as we know, they haven’t spoken since he left his bar in Hell's Kitchen. Considering Jessica was brainwashed into killing Cage’s now late wife, the two have a lot to talk about. It’s unclear how big of a role Claire Temple will play in The Defenders , but Claire and Luke don’t seem like the kind of characters to hold a grudge or start drama. Especially since we learned Luke’s ex-wife was far more involved in his prison experiments than we previously thought.
