Lately, the Nintendo Switch has been receiving a lot of attention. The handheld gaming console allows you to play AAA games like Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Overwatch, and soon players will be able to play the classic Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition. Devil May Cry 3 is a prequel to the original Devil May Cry, despite its title. The game was originally released on the PS2 in 2005 and the PC port arrived just a year later. The game was ported to the PS4 and Xbox One as well.
In Devil May Cry 3, players find themselves stepping into the shoes of a younger Dante, who is sorting out his relationship with his brother Virgil. The story revolves around Virgil, who is determined to establish a connection between the human world and the demon world. Dante is determined to stop Virgil from doing so. In his pursuit to stop Virgil and battle his way through demons, Dante is equipped with his trusty sword, Rebellion, and his dual pistols, Ebony and Ivory. Devil May Cry 3 is an intense action shooter where players will have to choose a combat style as they start the game. The game received a lot of positive feedback from the community and continues to do so, even today.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition will be available on Nintendo Switch on February 20, 2020, for $19.99. The game includes quite a few surprises including Virgil as a playable character and the 9,999 floors ‘Bloody Palace’ survival mode. In the Bloody Palace survival mode, players face off against a variety of enemies and bosses and each victory will grant players three portals to choose from. Some of these portals can transport players 100 floors ahead.
