The new strategy RPG The DioField Chronicle is coming out on September 22. It will introduce players to an epic tale of war and honor and let them experience real-time tactical battles. The game is coming to PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
Those who can’t wait that long can try the demo version launching on August 10; it offers the beginning parts of the game. Of course, any saved data from the demo can be carried over to the full game after purchase.
One of the game's main features is the Real Time Tactical Battle. This is a new and deeply strategic real-time battle system that players can experience and has been enhanced further with a gritty and immersive storyline. Players can also enjoy the character designs by Taiki (Lord of Vermilion III, Lord of Vermilion IV) and concept art by Isamu Kamikokuryo (Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy XIII). Players can also get to the beautifully orchestrated music by none other than world-renowned composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell, known for their work on Game of Thrones.
Pre-Order Now Open
While the official launch is months away, those interested can now pre-order the physical and digital versions for PlayStation and Xbox consoles and PC. For the Nintendo Switch, physical pre-orders are also available while digital pre-orders are available at a later date.
Those who pre-order the Standard Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition can look forward to getting bonus content, including a Rhopasto Knife (which comes in an exclusive color) and the Recruit’s Bangle, both usable in the main game.
There’s also the Collector's Edition Set, which can be pre-ordered exclusively at the Square Enix Store. It includes the Standard Edition game package and the Collector’s Goods Box, which has The DioField Chronicle Board Game and a Four Pins Set. This is available in limited quantities, so don’t hesitate to get it.
Finally, those who buy the Digital Deluxe Edition can get in-game items for use from near the start of the main game. These include the Knight’s Spear weapon and the Mystical Ring accessory. This edition also comes with digital versions of The DioField Chronicle soundtrack and Digital Artbook.
