The Qualifiers of the MDL Disneyland Paris Major is heating up as the Europe region saw two Dota 2 teams qualify for a spot. The first spot goes to Team Secret who showed again how good they are. In the Group Stage, Team Secret was undefeated, going 2-0 against The Final Tribe, and 2-0 as well versus OG.
In the Playoffs, Team Secret faced Ninjas in Pyjamas. Team Secret dominated the first game. Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat's Rubick got first blood and finished the game with six kills and zero deaths. GG would be called in 24 minutes.
In the second game, NiP retained the Radiant side with Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard going for the Anti-Mage. NiP had a good start with Ace getting the first blood. However, Michał "Nisha" Jankowski's Phantom Lancer and Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng's Monkey King coupled with Ludwig "zai" Wåhlberg's Leshrac would be too much, and Team Secret grabbed the win and secured the first spot for the Paris Major.
In Group B, Team Liquid got the top spot and played against OG in the Playoffs. OG had the benefit of having Anathan "ana" Pham back in the roster. OG took the initial advantage, getting three kills within the 7-minute mark. The game went back and forth, but a disastrous team fight just above the 1-hour mark shifted the tone and gave Team Liquid the win.
OG took the second game on the backs of ana's Phantom Assassin and Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen's Pangolier. Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen had a good showing with his Ursa, but it would not be enough.
As if to avenge his performance in the previous game, MATUMBAMAN again picked Ursa. This time, he fared better with 16 kills, and helped by Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi's Morphling, took the win to secure the second spot for the Paris Major.
The remaining slot for the Europe Qualifier will be fought by the four remaining teams Ninjas in Pyjamas, OG, Alliance, and The Final Tribe. The three teams that get eliminated will stil get a chance to be at the Paris Major by qualifying and winning the The OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019.
The Paris Major is the four Major in the 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit and has a $1 million prize pool along with 15,000 DPC points up for grabs.
