It was back in September 2020 when Dota 2 team EHOME signed a new roster. There have been some small changes but the biggest one just happened: Song "Sccc" Chun made the decision to leave the team.
The good news is that the move didn’t affect EHOME’s direct invite to the Upper Division for China of the 2021 DPC Season. One factor could be that they managed to quickly sign a new member: Lai "Ahjit" Jay Son.
Personal Reasons
In a post on Weibo, EHOME said that when it comes to the personal development needs of players, they made sure to respect the wishes of their players. Despite discussions between the two parties, both EHOME and Sccc agreed to “peacefully terminate their contract according to their personal wishes.” With this, Sccc is now a free agent.
EHOME stated their thanks to Sccc for his contribution and appreciated “his high standards and strict demands” along with his “rigorous professional attitude and positive personal charm.”
New Roster
With Sccc leaving the team and the new DPC season about to begin, EHOME revealed their new member Ahjit, who was previously with LGD International. Ahjit is well-known for his skill in suppressing the other team’s carry. In another Weibo post, EHOME said that they hope Ahjit joining the team would result in more vitality and with it reach “greater breakthroughs in the new season.”
The complete roster of EHOME is now:
- Lai "Ahjit" Jay Son
- Guo "Xm" Hongcheng
- Yang "Chalice"' Shenyi
- Pan "Fade" Yi
- Jian Wei "xNova" Yap
Past Performance
While EHOME hadn’t been winning tournaments since the September 2020 roster change, their performance wasn’t bad either. They basically managed to be part of a top-five finish.
Suspicions Confirmed
Last Tuesday, we reported that it appeared TNC was making a change and moving its coach Kim "Febby" Yong-min to the main roster. You can read more about that here.
It now seems confirmed when TNC showed that Febby is back on the official roster. Not only that, but Febby is the new TNC Team Captain. It would be interesting to see how TNC performs in this new DPC season.
Look out for more roster news in the future.
