Are you excited about a new Battlefield game? You are in for a treat because EA is teasing players for a possible reveal in June.
In a tweet, the original @Battlefield account started with the phrase “Words that rhyme with Soon” and ended with the words “June” and “Boom.”
Fans have made their assumptions, and while some people are skeptical about a Battlefield 6 reveal, others are still hopeful.
The popular publisher has not released a new installment in the franchise since 2018. In October 2019, Daniel Ahmad, a renowned games industry analyst, tweeted that the company is likely going to release a new Battlefield game anywhere between April 2021 and March 2022.
The more recent tweet by @Battlefield goes in line with what Ahmad said, so a new game might be revealed soon.
Expect Major Changes
The upcoming installment in the franchise may have major changes in its core gameplay.
Tom Henderson, a renowned tipster, tweeted that players will be able to switch sides in any multiplayer co-op mode as they please.
The major warring countries in the game are the U.S. and Russia and the player will be someone from a fallen nation. This means that you have the option to choose which side you want to fight for.
"So in theory a Japanese soldier could fight for both the USA and Russia," Henderson tweeted.
In addition to Henderson’s statement, Redditor bf6leaker mentioned a few more changes. A battle royale mode may be added to the game with support for up to 128 players per match. There will be large-scale destruction events that will behave like in the Bad Company series.
Though the things mentioned are interesting, they are still considered rumors at this point. We will have to wait and see what the new game has in store for us.
