Battlefield 6 or whatever they decide to call it is one of the biggest games of this year. The latest entry in the BF franchise has had tons of rumors and leaks, and now, there is another major leak. During the Xbox Era podcast, Shpeshal Ed said that “there's a certain third-party AAA first-person shooter that is highly likely to be launching on Game Pass this fall.”
He didn’t actually say Battlefield 6 but that is likely the title he is talking about. It’s unlikely to be this year’s Call of Duty since Activision is now close with Sony. The last two COD games had exclusive game modes just for PS players. EA, on the other hand, recently gave away EA Play subscriptions to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
Xbox Game Pass is having one heck of a year as it grabs awesome AAA games one by one. The biggest additions IMO were The Medium and Outriders . Four more games including GTA 5 are added to the Pass today and four more will release in April. Check out our previous article for more information.
If this leak is true, then it’s going to be a very big win for Xbox. While PlayStation has had an advantage in terms of exclusivity, there is no denying that Microsoft's new gaming subscription service has taken the industry by storm. Having access to 200+ games for a measly $9.99 per month ($14.99 for Ultimate) is a really good deal.
Battlefield 6 will launch in Q4 of 2021. If previous leaks are to be believed, then you can expect massive 128- player lobbies, unscripted destruction, co-op campaign, and more. Be sure to check out our previous article to know about all the leaks and rumors.
Do keep in mind that all of these are claims, so take it with a grain of salt.
