Season of the Dragon
The Season of the Dragon is the third main story arc released by Elder Scrolls Online. The story follows the Main Quest and the Daedric War Storyline. Like the Daedric War Storyline, Season of the Dragon isn't a single in-game questline, but an overarching story that covers multiple content updates through Chapters, DLC, and free quests. Season of the Dragon follows the story of Euraxia Tharn and her plot of unleashing dragons from the Halls of Colossus. However, led by Kaalgrontiid, the newly-free dragons have their own plans for world domination.
The story started with the Wrathstone Storyline and concludes with Dragonhold.
The Elder Scrolls Online is part of the Elder Scrolls series and set in the continent of Tamriel. The game's storyline is indirectly connected with the other games in the franchise. The events in the game happened a millennium before The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and about 800 years prior to The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The game’s structure is somewhat broadly similar to Skyrim, in that it has two separate conflicts progressing at the same time.
Elder Scrolls Online was released for the PC in 2014 after seven years of development. The game was released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2015. ESO received mixed reviews upon release and was re-released and rebranded as The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for consoles. This version received praise from critics with many citing the changes made as being positive.
