The previously announced Fire Emblem mobile game has finally been revealed as Fire Emblem Heroes.
Nintendo’s second mobile game will bring a brand new original story to Fire Emblem fans as players will begin to summon Fire Emblem characters from every game, like Marth, Chrom, Roy, Lucina and more.
The controls of Fire Emblem Heroes is simple as you’ll be able to drag characters across maps to move them and engage in battles.
Heroes will have their own attributes based on three elements (fire, wind, thunder) and three weapon types (sword, axe, lance). Fire Emblem fans will recognize the weapon triangle that the franchise has made popular.
Also, there is no perma-death in Fire Emblem Heroes. Your heroes will return to your army at the end of each battle.
Fire Emblem Heroes players can summon heroes to join your army by acquiring orbs. These orbs will be obtained through the game (presumably through map completions) or through in-game purchases. The hero you obtain is random so good luck.
There are five different colored summoning orbs that represent weapons and elements. The more summons you perform, the amount of orbs needed for the next one will decrease.
Each hero has a star allocated to them to denote their strength. And you can encounter the same hero with differing number of stars. This means their strengths and weapons are different.
Outside of the main quest, you can go to the training tower to level up your heroes while completing new challenges. As heroes gain combat experience, heroes can learn new skills or level up or increase star ratings. You can max out your hero at five stars by leveling up and gathering rare items.
Hero battles are timed encounters that will let you battle against a selected hero. Defeated heroes are recruited to join your army. . You can even gain very powerful heroes, but they won’t be easy.
Pre-registration for Fire Emblem Heroes begins on Jan. 19 on the Google Play Store. The Fire Emblem Heroes release date is so for Android devices on Feb. 2 and Apple devices soon after.
