The first Nintendo Direct of 2017 will focus on the Fire Emblem series and it’s closer than fans may expect.
On Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 5 p.m. EST, the Fire Emblem Nintendo Direct will air on the official Nintendo Direct website and reveal more information on every upcoming Fire Emblem title. During the Nintendo Switch presentation in Japan, it was revealed that Fire Emblem Warriors from Koei Tecmo will be released this holiday season.
Taking the popular Dynasty Warriors style of hack-and-slash gameplay, Fire Emblem Warriors will likely allow players to take direct control of their favorite Fire Emblem characters, defeating enemies as they make your way across different stages, similar to what Hyrule Warriors did with the Zelda franchise.
Not much is known about Fire Emblem Warriors outside of the reveal trailer (you can watch in the video above) from the Nintendo Presentation, but the Nintendo Direct on Jan. 18 will give all the details.
There’s also the Fire Emblem mobile game slated to release this year. The Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing mobile games were announced to release in 2016 but were pushed back to make Super Mario Run the first Nintendo mobile game. Information regarding Fire Emblem mobile will likely come in this Direct.
To watch the Fire Emblem Nintendo Direct, you can check out the official Nintendo website or watch the stream once it goes live on the Nintendo YouTube page. You can also watch the stream on the Nintendo Twitch channel, which you can see below.
