The latest update to Fire Emblem Heroes gives players a new option to power up and customize each of their characters using the new Inherit Skill feature.
Fire Emblem Heroes players already know that the Advanced Growth feature lets them unlock the potential of certain Heroes by raising their rank, or to merge the same heroes to give either more SP or to raise stats.
The Inherit Skill feature gives another option when figuring out how best to utilize your army. The Inherit Skill feature allows you to learn up to three skills at once from a Hero. A Hero can inherit learned or unlearned skills from another Hero, so if you want your tank to gain a self-healing buff, for example, you can.
Weapon restrictions still exist while using the Inherit Skill feature. A sword-wielder cannot learn how to use a bow. But if you have a type of sword that you want to give to another sword-user, you can, but certain weapons can’t be passed down. It’s best to approach this with trial and error, seeing which Heroes can give their skills to another.

However, keep in mind a Hero doesn’t immediately learn a skill just by inheriting it. In order to learn the skill, they’ll need 1.5x the normal amount of SP. Players will lose the Hero that provides the skills to the other Hero, so think twice before sacrificing a Hero.
Starting in Version 1.2.0, expected to launch in April, your Heroes can inherit skills through the Merge Allies features, allowing for a Hero who has gained a new skill to pass it to a Hero with the same name.
Again, not all skills can be inherited by Heroes, as they vary depending on the source and target Hero types. Some special skills can’t be inherited as well. You also cannot inherit skills from a Hero that has been marked as favorite.
