Two new characters were confirmed for the upcoming Fire Emblem Warriors game on the Nintendo Switch and 3DS this Fall.
Cordelia and Female Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening were revealed in the pages of this week’s Famitsu magazine. Cordelia is a Pegasus Knight and she will be mounted on her steed. Judging from the scan, it seems her pegasus will only appear as her special, but we will update as soon as we learn more.
As for Female Robin, she will likely have the same attacks as the Male Robin (who was revealed a few weeks back) but may have a different special, but that wasn’t made clear from the Famitsu scan.
Take a look at the Famitsu scan that shows Cordelia and Female Robin in Fire Emblem Warriors .
Another feature revealed in this week’s Famitsu was the inclusion of Permadeath. The magazine calls this feature the “Character Lost” function, and doesn’t allow players to deploy heroes who have fallen in battle already.
Permadeath is a staple of the Fire Emblem series, so it’s great to see Nintendo and Koei Tecmo put it in Fire Emblem Warriors . More details on this function will be revealed at a later date, according to Famitsu , but we can assume that players can turn the Permadeath feature off to make it a more casual experience. However, if players want tougher gameplay then Permadeath is the way to go.
The confirmed characters in Fire Emblem Warriors include: Male/Female Robin, Cordelia, Marth, Lucina, Lissa, Chrom, Xander, Ryoga and the two new characters created specifically for the game, Lian and Shian.
Fire Emblem Warriors will release for Nintendo Switch and 3DS on Sept. 28 in Japan and fall 2017 for the rest of the world.
