Who is Savitar? The Flash fans have been trying to figure out this speedster’s identity for months and the wait is finally coming to an end. The bad news is, there’s still not a solid theory about who this dude is. The good news is we will find out for sure sooner than we thought.
“After discovering Savitar’s true identity, Team Flash prepares for a final, epic battle with the God of Speed… while struggling with a major setback. Expect a season-ending cliffhanger that will leave viewers — and the heroes — questioning how they will move forward in Season 4,” TV Line reports.
Grant Gustin said a few weeks ago this year’s reveal won’t be like past villain identity reveals, and not only because we will know before the finale episode.
“With Zoom and Reverse-Flash, the audience was starting to realize things before we all started to piece it together. But I don’t know how you would know this year. And when you do find out, it’s like, ‘Oh. My. God!’ There are really no secrets or hints leading up to it,” he said at PaleyFest.

Theories range from Barry Allen himself, to Wally West, Jay Garrick, H.R. Wells, Daniel West and even Eddie Thawne. However, none of these predictions have a particularly solid case. We should have a few more clues after the debut of Anne Dudek’s character. Tracy Brand is described as “a quirky scientist with knowledge of the future who may be the key to stopping Savitar.”
Grant Gustin will be playing two versions of himself in this week’s new episode, “Once and Future Flash,” where we will travel ahead in order to gather information to either prevent Iris’ death or defeat Savitar--hopefully both. However, if Barry does end up being Future Flash, his fate is not looking too good heading into Season 4.
