‘The Flash’ Season 3 Spoilers: See Kid Flash With A New Devilish Black Speedster [PHOTOS]

Yesterday we got an unexpected peek at Wally West as his speedster alter ego, Kid Flash , and today set photos tease the introduction of yet another version of The Flash, this time sporting an all-black suit.

If you remember from the Season 2 finale, Zoom appeared to transform into another villainous speedster who resembles The Black Flash , but it’s important to remember this is the Flashpoint timeline, so nothing’s going to make sense. Before the speed force took Zoom away, his face became aged and shriveled and a red Flash symbol appeared on his black suit. The Black Flash is basically the grim reaper of the speed force, but it’s unclear whether The Flash we see here is the same man who was swept away by the time wraiths in the finale since the costumes do look a bit different. Personally, I think this new character looks most like The Reverse Flash of New 52.

Fans have identified the face behind this mask as Todd Lasance of Vampire Diaries. Since costumes rarely mirror the exact look depicted in the comics, Lasance’s presumably villainous Flash could also very well be the Black Racer -- who can bring death with a single touch -- or even yet another iteration of The Reverse Flash known as Daniel West. Flashpoint presents Central City with an alternate timeline, making it extremely difficult to identify a pattern behind the casting for The Flash Season 3.
