Fortnite has released update 10.10, which introduces some updates to the B.R.U.T.E. That’s not all, as the new update introduces the Rift Zone. Of course, it wouldn’t be an update without a new Limited Time Mode, and this time it’s all about running.
Let’s start with the Rift Zone which has turned the Mega Mall back into Retail Row. Because of this, prices have dropped significantly, but these discounts come at the cost of increased danger. Fiends are spawning in the Rift and it seems they want the mall all to themselves. Details of the Rift Row are:
- A Rift Zone has replaced the Mega Mall POI with Retail Row.
- Retail Row now spawns hordes of Fiends who charge at players.
- Fiends may drop a weapon, consumable, or ammo upon being eliminated.
- Fiends cannot go outside the Retail Row Rift Zone.
- Note: Fiends do not appear in certain modes.
- Retail Row now spawns hordes of Fiends who charge at players.
So what about the LTM? It is titled World Run LTM so you probably have an idea of what’s going to happen. Here are the details of this new LTM:
- Team Type: Squads
- Respawning: On
- Objective: Team to collect 30 coins the fastest wins
- In case two teams collect the same amount of coins, the faster team wins
- 16 Players
- 4 Team
Now let’s go see what changes have been done to the B.R.U.T.E. These are:
- Added a targeting laser that appears as players load and fire missiles.
- In addition to the B.R.U.T.E.’s gunner, this laser is visible to opponents and teammates.
- This change was made to help give clarity to all players on where a gunner is aiming their rockets before they’re fired.
- The time before the B.R.U.T.E. explodes after the self-destruct countdown has initiated has been increased from four seconds to five.
- Improved visual and audio feedback during the self-destruct sequence.
- These timing, audio, and visual adjustments aim to address an issue with overall readability of the self-destruct sequence.
- B.R.U.T.E.s can now be entered directly from glider mode.
- Updated B.R.U.T.E. spawn logic for large team respawn game modes.
- B.R.U.T.Es now spawn intermittently throughout the match instead of waiting for Storm phases to end.
- B.R.U.T.E.s abandoned in the Storm will self-destruct after 30 seconds.
- B.R.U.T.E.s will reappear on the minimap after 15 seconds if no player is in either seat.
- Last August 10, the spawn rates of the B.R.U.T.E. per Storm circle in Arena and Tournament playlists were lowered. The team at Fortnite said they are going to continue monitoring the impact of this change in advance of the Champion Series event.
