Fortnite officially launched patch v8.51, which introduces a new item that players are sure to love: the Shadow Bomb.
The Shadow Bomb is an uncommon item that, when activated, shrouds players in shadow and allows them to become invisible to enemies for six seconds. Once the effect nears its end, the player starts to become more visible. While under the effect of the Shadow Bomb, players have their movement speed increased and get the ability to wall jump and even double jump. However, players will not be able to build, loot, or attack while under the effects of the item. The Shadow Bomb can be found on Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops, and Supply Llamas.
Patch v8.51 also introduces the Duet for Fortnite: Save the World. This is a high damage assault rifle that's good for sustained fire due to its large magazine capacity. However, this weapon is only available in the Weekly Store beginning May 1 at 8:00 p.m. EDT until May 8 at 8:00 p.m. EDT.

In Fortnite’s Community Issues Trello board, one issue that is currently being worked on is the matter of players entering the basement area of the Pawn Shop in Tilted and then becoming instantly eliminated. The Fortnite team is also looking into the issue of players in vehicles being eliminated while driving around in Loot Lake.
