It’s time to celebrate the holidays and what better way to do it than with a new operation. That’s right! Operation Snowdown is now live in Fortnite. There’s going to be some LTMs, and of course, quests that reward free outfits, among many others. This new event will run through until January 5.
Today, we take a look at some of the things you can expect with this new operation.
Snowmando Quests
Throughout Operation Snowdown, Snowmando is going to hand out quests. Players who manage to complete the quests get free rewards like:
- Shield Surprise Back Bling
- Frosty Globes Pickaxe
- Gliders
- Wraps
- Another set of Back Bling and Pickaxe
Completing nine quests lets players unlock the Snowmando Outfit. Finishing 12 quests, meanwhile, allows players to unlock the Frost Squad Outfit. Note that both of these are free.
Time for Some Cool Tactics
To help everyone in battle, Snowmando has brought some goodies to enjoy. There’s the custom X-4 Stormwing plane, for instance, which lets you take the skies. On the guard, there’s always the Sneaky Snowmandos. It lets you disguise yourself as an ordinary snowman. Don’t forget to do some extra cold damage with the Chiller Grenades.
Enjoy LTMs
Some of the fan-favorite limited-time modes are making a return in Operation Snowstorm. There’s Air Royale with its dogfights. Making its way for the first in LTM form is the Pickaxe Frenzy. Do remember to try out the Shockwave LTM. This new LTM has players knock opponents in an extra-strong Storm.
Holiday Outfits
Being the holidays, it’s always good to dress the part. The Item Shop is offering loads of holiday-themed Outfits from past seasons. Check out the holiday sweater or get a chance to dress up as sweets. Of course, there are also some new outfits offered in the Shop.
The Items Shop is offering the caroling Sing-Along Emote for free until January 5. For those who bought this item in the past, not to worry, since any V-Bucks spent on the item are returned.
