Epic Games is rapidly growing its partnerships with music icons, and the latest star coming to "Fortnite" is none other than the multiple Grammy-award-winning artist, T-Pain. The rapper is coming to the game this Friday, Feb. 21.
The special addition of T-Pain is not just a mere appearance in the game as Epic Games is pitting him against the new character, Big Dill, with a fictional rap beef between them.
While this is not the first time that Epic Games collaborated with a music artist, this will be its first to pit a collaborator against a character in the game, creating a mini storyline for fans to enjoy.
'Fortnite' x T-Pain Collaboration Confirmed for Chapter 6 Season 2
The latest real-world music artist to make their appearance on "Fortnite" is T-Pain, and the award-winning R&B star himself is making his debut on the battle island as part of the Chapter 6 Season 2 update. Epic Games recently confirmed the collaboration in a new post that chronicles the T-Pain vs. Big Dill saga, showing a dramatic storytelling of the two's fallout.
It is widely known that T-Pain is a massive gamer as seen on his Twitch streams and online posts, with the rapper being celebrated for his fondness of various games apart from his talk show-like streams.
This collaboration is the latest in the list of partnerships with music's biggest artists. Previously, "Fortnite" collaborated with Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Eminem, Metallica, Ice Spice, and more.
However, it was not made clear if T-Pain's collaboration will include his own "Fortnite Festival" feature, as only select singers are part of the "Festival" mode.
That being said, there are still no further details as to what T-Pain's role will be in the game.
'Fortnite's' Big Dill and T-Pain Has a Fictional Rap Beef
Big Dill will feature heavily in T-Pain's appearance, and the latter will remain a music artist in the game. Big Dill, on the other hand, will take on the role of a music producer. However, both will see a fallout due to Big Dill stealing the records he and T-Pain had created.
"Fortnite" created a showbiz documentary of this fictional rap beef, recreating the features of music icons and their issues with managers or producers, but all of these are only part of the new Chapter 6 Season 2's "Lawless" plot featuring Big Dill.
'Fortnite' and Its Music Artist Collaborations
Epic Games is globally celebrated for its massive collaborations, and lately, the company has made significant partnerships with various franchises and pop culture icons, including the King of Monsters, Godzilla.
However, "Fortnite" has also made a name for itself by including renowned artists and content creators to the game, and this in turn, has led to massive players joining the game to play as their favorite musicians.
