The Forza is one of the best game franchises on the Xbox. The franchise has two series: Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon. Both series alternate releases one another each year. But 2019 received neither a Forza Motorsport nor Forza Horizon game. Instead, fans got a new mobile spinoff called Forza Street. Also, 2020 saw no Forza releases.
According to a recent report, Microsoft could be gearing up for a new Forza Horizon game. It might go out in 2021. The news comes from Venture Beat's Jeff Grubb, who claimed to have information on the franchise. Grubb said that the new game is likely Forza Horizon 5. The anticipated game is further along in development.
Grubb also stated that he has more information. Though, choose not to share it as the game is not yet official. Since fans know a new Forza Horizon is in works and almost in the final stages, they can expect an official announcement for the game soon.
In July, Xbox too confirmed a new Forza Motorsport game in development. That game featured support on ray tracing and 4K resolution on the Xbox Series X. Surprisingly, Grubb had nothing to share on the Forza Motorsport game, which is being developed. Xbox shared no further details. Still, Turn 10 Studios mentioned, at that time, the ongoing progress in the project, and fans could learn more in the future.
While waiting for Forza Horizon 5, fans can enjoy Forza Horizon 4 now optimized for the Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series X enhancements allow the game to run at gorgeous native 4K resolution and smooth 60FPS. Forza Horizon 4 is also available on the Xbox Game Pass.
Forza Horizon 5 in development remains a rumor until officially announced.
