Animal Crossing: New Horizons Free Update and New DLC

New additions officially arrive in Animal Crossing: New Horizons today and it’s sure to enrich the island LIFE. There’s a free today that brings new additions and options. Then there is the Happy Home Paradise DLC.

Let’s start with the free update that introduces some characters that appeared in the Animal Crossing series. There’s Brewster, for example, who’s going to open the Roost café on the museum’s second floor. Another character is Kapp’n, who’s more than happy to take you on his boat and bring you to different islands.

The new update also gives players new abilities like cooking and growing vegetables. There is also a lot of customization and features that everyone can enjoy. Read more about the new update here.

New DLC

In addition to the free update, the Happy Home Paradise is now live. However, it won’t be free and requires a one-time fee of $24.99.

The DLC introduces players to Lottie and the Paradise Planning team as they travel to a chain of charming islands in an archipelago. In these various islands, they get to design the dream vacation homes of their clients as well as decorate island facilities. There are also new ways to create and personalize. That’s because techniques and items that players have obtained while working with Lottie and the team can be used on their home island. Read more about the new DLC here.

New Amiibo Cards

Besides the new content, Animal Crossing Series 5 amiibo cards are set to be launched in selected stores. It’s sure to bring that added variety of characters to the amiibo card lineup. Each amiibo card pack can be purchased for $5.99 and it contains six cards.

Players can use the amiibo cards in compatible games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons . Series 5 encompasses a selection of 48 characters which include new ones and those never before seen in amiibo card form.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released in March 2020 on Nintendo Switch. This social simulation game has players control a character who moves to a deserted island and then develops it as they want.
