iOS users and Game of Thrones fans have an easter egg waiting for them: Siri may possibly have the answer to that season ending question that has haunted HBO subscribers since the end of season 5 and book readers since 2011.
If you have an iPhone, iPad or other iOS device with Siri enabled, you too can ask Apple’s robotic assistant whether or not Jon Snow is dead. There are four possible answers Siri can tell you, and it seems randomly chosen depending on Siri’s whims for the day.
So what exactly are Siri’s answers for those wondering if Jon Snow has truly perished or not?
“I don’t know. I just hope someone is setting up doggie daycare for Ghost.”
“I’m not sure. Has he tried restarting? That always seems to work.”
“Well, you know what they say to Death… Not today! But why would tomorrow be any better? Anyway, I’m not exactly sure.”
“‘Dead is dead.’ Or is it ‘What’s dead may never die’? No, wait, ‘Death is so terribly final’? I give up.”
Not exactly the most definitive, but if you were hoping for something a little bit more, the second trailer for season 6 of Game of Thrones came out recently and the excitement is running high for the HBO series’ return. This is the first season where the TV show has outpaced the books, and for the first time, no one actually knows what’s going to happen.
