During the Gamescom 2019 episode of Inside Xbox, a new trailer and gameplay sneak peek for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint’s 4v4 mode (named “Ghost Mode”) has been unveiled by Ubisoft.
The two-minute action-packed trailer showcased Breakpoint’s take on the Battle Royale craze, this time with a 4v4 PVP mode. Currently, the mode promises two variations (PvE and PvP), six Maps, and four classes that have unique skillsets for the benefit of the squad. It also promises that progression across PvE and PvP experiences will carry over on each mode. Finally, it was also revealed that Beta Testing will start soon, running from September 5 to 8. For those who pre-order Breakpoint, Beta access is guaranteed.
The newest entry in the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise, Breakpoint will serve as the narrative sequel to 2017’s Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Players assume control of squad leader Nomad, but this time, he/she is without his/her squad. Set in the South Pacific Island of Auroa, which is owned by the villainous corporation Skell Technology, players must fight to survive and choose the right alliances to take down your toughest enemy yet.
Many of the same mechanics should be expected from Ghost Recon: Breakpoint such as customization, looting, weapons crafting and upgrading, and playstyle personalization. Breakpoint also introduces a new type of endgame content called Raids.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 4.
