Before Ubisoft's highly-anticipated E3 2019 event, the publisher will be holding a Rayman Origins giveaway to anyone who watches the scheduled Rayman 2 Speedrun on June 10 at E3. Fans don't have be present at E3 to receive the Rayman Origins giveaway as long as they watch the event on the official Ubisoft Twitch Stream.
E3 2019 is getting almost everyone in the gaming community excited, but while everybody's thinking about what announcements are going to be made and what some upcoming games are going to look like, it's important to take a step back and give yourself a friendly reminder to have fun. At the E3 Gaming Show, speedrunner Glackum will be taking on the speedrun challenge for Rayman 2, and Ubisoft is inviting everyone to watch.
Currently, the speedrun record for Rayman 2 is held by Darnok_PL, but up until two weeks ago, the world record-holder for fastest Rayman 2 speedrun belonged to Glackum himself. At E3 2019, Glackum will be performing the speedrun challenge to reclaim the Rayman 2 throne. On speedrun.com, fans can see Darnok_PL's record time clocking in at 1h 15m 22s without counting the loading screens, a full minute faster than Glackum's 1h 16m 22s.
To become eligible for the Rayman Origins giveaway, all players have to do is log onto their Twitch accounts and link it with their Uplay accounts. Rayman Origins is earned by watching the speedrun for at least 30 minutes. After the speedrun attempt is over, regardless of whether or not Glackum succeeds, eligible viewers will be gifted Rayman Origins to their Uplay accounts, redeemable immediately upon receipt.
Ubisoft has been giving several titles away recently and for various reasons. Most recently, Ubisoft was offering the extreme winter sports game Steep as a giveaway, and before that, players could claim a free copy of Assassin's Creed Unity after the tragic fire at Notre Dame. While those games aren't as popular as their more recent titles, we're always appreciative of a chance to enjoy and experience new games for free.
