Ghost Recon Wildlands is just a few days old, but the TAR-21 has already been deemed one of the game’s best assault rifles. In this guide, we’ll tell you where several players have found the gun and why it’s quickly becoming a fan favorite.
To get it, you’ll need to go to the village called Choza Padre in the Montuyoc region. Moving past where the Choza Padre is labeled is on your map, it’s in the first building on your left. It’s in a box on the second floor of the marked building. You’ll see it under a set of stairs.
In terms of uses, it’s got full and semi-auto firing methods with a wide range of available attachments. For starters, the TAR-21 has got 12 scopes, three magazines, seven under-barrel attachments, four different rails, two barrels and four muzzles. It should be noted that if you opt for a silencer, the gun’s velocity and damage will drop. In most cases, these adjustments tweak your range, accuracy and handling to suit your playstyle. That kind of versatility makes it a great all-around firearm.
Of course, the TAR-21 is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to having a great Ghost Recon Wildlands experience. We’ve also made a beginner’s guide to offer tips for success and weapon selection. We even know where one of the game’s best sniper rifles can be found very quickly.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is available now on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
