After a six-second clip of Godfall was leaked online, another video that looks like a full trailer has made its way to the internet. You can watch the video here but do keep in mind that it could be pulled any time.
Godfall is an action role-playing game developed by Counterplay Games and published by Gearbox Publishing. It is the first game confirmed for PlayStation 5 and will release at the end of 2020. It will launch on PC via the Epic Game Store. The first trailer for the game was unveiled in December at The Game Awards. More information will come as the year goes on.
In Godfall, players control one of the last in the exalted Knight’s Order and must try to prevent a major apocalyptic event. The game is set in an epic fantasy setting and split into five regions of Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Spirit. Players have access to three character classes which are based on their armor sets, known as Valorplates. Players can customize classes further by choosing additional Valorplates and Augments. Developers have described Godfall as a “looter-slasher”, where loot is given emphasis. Combat focuses on close melee attacks (like For Honor) and largely stays away from ranged combat. .
According to the Reddit user who released the video, it's "a fraction of the footage from an unreleased trailer I have". The leaked video was made for internal use by the developers and is almost a year old. From what we have seen, Godfall looks promising and we will surely keep an eye on it.
