Amazon’s version of Top Gear officially has a name, one inspired by the new show’s traveling tour format: The Grand Tour. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond (albeit with a mustache) and James May will be premiere on Amazon Prime Autumn 2016.
Each episode of The Grand Tour will take place in a different country according to the BBC, with the studio audience taping taking place in a new location every week. Amazon customers will be able to score a ticket to the studio audience recordings this summer through prize drawings hosted by Amazon. For more information about ticket draws, make sure to keep up to date by signing up for The Grand Tour mailing list.
You can also follow The Grand Tour on its Twitter page, which has been retweeting tweets from Clarkson, Hammond and May for the past 10 months (the first retweet being Clarkson’s announcement of signing with Amazon), or The Grand Tour subreddit, Instagram or Facebook page.
The official reboot of Top Gear will premiere on BBC May 29, with Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc (Friends) hosting the show. Clarkson, Hammond and May left the show after Clarkson had a publicized confrontation with one of the producers of the show, which eventually resulted in Clarkson settling a racial discrimination and injury lawsuit with the producer for £100,000.
