The Mexico-based indie studio Bromio, who is also the developer behind last year’s bizarre rhythm fighting title Pato Box, has just announced that they will be releasing Greak: Memories of Azur, a side-scroller single-player adventure game.
Greak: Memories of Azur revolves around the main character named Greak. He belongs to a magical race called the Courine, which is currently under the attack of an enemy invasion from a villainous faction called the Urlag. This is a war that has raged on for a very long time, and this turmoil and conflict has caused Greak’s Courine fellowmen to flee their very own lands. The story will revolve around Greak’s goal to reunite with his siblings and escape the lands of Azur by creating a zeppelin from the ground up.
You will need to guide your siblings: Adara, who is a magical apprentice, and Raydel, who is a warrior with a courageous heart, across the lands of Azur. Each of the siblings have their own unique skills and abilities that help you avoid enemies and escape the Urlag invasion. For example, Greak, who is the youngest sibling, is also the swiftest and most agile. Adara, on the other hand, can offer her levitation powers and magical ranged attacks. Lastly, Raydel will use force and his status as one of the best warriors Azur has ever seen to cut down enemies in his way. There are also puzzles and special situations and scenarios that require you to alternate between Greak, Adara, and Raydel to pass a specific obstacle and to progress through the various areas in the game.
The announcement by Bromio also saw the release of a 50 second reveal teaser, showcasing Greak: Memories of Azur’s traditional hand drawn animation with its expressive and atmospheric scenarios.
Greak: Memories of Azur will be launched in 2020. As of now, no platforms have been confirmed yet for Bromio’s upcoming action adventure side-scroller. Greak: Memories of Azur will be developed by indie studio Navegante, which is comprised of a four-man team. The side scroller will also serve as the indie developer’s first project.
