We finally have a release date for Grid Legends and it’s on February 25. It’s going to be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game offers players many things to do, like the epic story mode titled “Driven to Glory” and a Career mode that has at least 250 events.
Grid Legends is the fifth game in the Grid franchise but unlike the previous games, it has more gameplay choices. First is the Drift mode, which is making a return after being long requested by the community. Next is the new Race Creator where players must come up with their own dream multi-class matchups for different types of vehicles. Not only that, they can even customize the time of day and weather conditions, among others, to ensure that each race is unique.
As mentioned, players can enjoy the new motorsport story known as “Driven to Glory.” It puts players in a fight for the Grid World Series. It features award-winning actor Ncuti Gatwa, who comes to life in the game through the use of motion capture combined with blending movie sequences. Once the story reaches its end, the progress is then carried over to career progression.
In a statement, Grid Game Director at Codemasters Chris Smith said that with the release date now revealed, they’re working to put the final polish on the game. Smith added that the game also lets everyone connect in seconds ensuring that less time is spent in lobbies and more time in racing.
The game not only supports cross-platform gameplay but even updates players as to when their friends are online and lets everyone start races with just three quick button presses.
If you’re one of those interested, pre-orders are now being accepted. There’s the Grid Legends Seneca & Ravenwest Double Pack, which unlocks four extra cars for Career events like the Aston Martin Vantage GT4, Porsche 962C, Ginetta G55 GT4, and Koenigsegg Jesko. This pack has the exclusive Ravenwest-focused Career events and the exclusive Seneca and Ravenwest team icons and liveries and banners.
