The new story-based expansion for GRID Legends is now available. In the Rise of Ravenwest, players get to learn more about the history of the most infamous team in the GRID World Series. In particular, they’ll learn how Ravenwest was able to build their rather scandalous reputation across 11 new-themed Story Experiences. As part of the expansion, players also get four new classic and powerful vehicles and updated tracks.
The Rise of Ravenwest pack is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S. Those who have the Deluxe Edition immediately get instant access to the new expansion and can even invite friends to play the game free.
The Rise of Ravenwest is the third expansion of the game, focusing on Nathan McKane, the ace driver of Ravenwest Motorsport. He is one of the main characters in the story mode titled “Driven to Glory.” It follows the journey of Ravenwest from inception to events that set into motion the team’s stardom and fifth-time consecutive GRID World Series Championships.
New Vehicles and Tracks
As mentioned, this new expansion introduces four new vehicles to the roster. Each represents the evolution and undertone of Ravenwest:
- BMW 320 Turbo Group 5.
- 1967 Chevrolet Corvette.
- 1971 Plymouth GTX.
- 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback.
Players should be happy to know that there are four new layout variants for the Miami track, Ramps and Boost zones. There are also three new sponsored Career Events along with a host of icons, liveries, and banners for in-game use.
In a statement, Senior Games Designer at Codemasters Paul Lovell shared that this new DLC gave them the chance to explore more on the story behind the antagonist of the series. He added that there’s more to the story behind the “win at all costs” mentality and “take no prisoners” racing style. Lovell went on to say that they’re inviting everyone to learn more about the story of the most interesting and controversial characters in the GRID universe.
New Patch
The DLC arrives in the game with Patch v5.0, which introduces the following changes:
- Several environmental track adjustments have been made.
- Objective progress that was reset relating to “Finish X or higher,” should now be displaying correctly in certain circumstances.
