New information on Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is out this week, ahead of two upcoming convention appearances, and Telltale even threw in a basic plot synopsis for to keep things extra exciting. We still don’t know which of the Guardians’ enemies will be the series’ antagonist, but we did learn who will play ragtag team of heroes when Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series hits PC, consoles and mobile devices this spring.
The new plot synopsis won’t mean much to those who’ve been closely following any/all news related to the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy episodic adventure. The description released this week is a slightly reformatted version of the text published by GameStop back in January. That said, it’s probably safe to assume there are some who haven’t heard anything about Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series since the project was announced during the 2016 Game Awards.
Here’s the official description, via Telltale:
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is a brand new story of the universe's unlikeliest heroes: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.
From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, and set to the beat of awesome music, you wear the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure, where your decisions and actions drive the story you experience.
And here’s who will bring the Guardians to life in The Telltale Series :
Scott Porter as Star-Lord
Emily O’Brien as Gamora
Nolan North as Rocket
Brandon Paul Eells as Drax
Adam Harrington as Groot
