A new update was released recently for Guilty Gear: Strive, and it introduced a new character named Goldlewis. Some operational changes have also been added.
Goldlewis, the Secretary of Absolute Defense
Those who have purchased the GGST Season Pass 1 can play the new character: Goldlewis Dickinson.
He is the first of five different characters that you can get in Season Pass 1. Two additional characters will be released later this year, while the other two will be added in 2022.
That said, Goldlewis’s own background music, “The Kiss of Death,” has also been added to the game. It is worth noting that for you to listen to his BGM, you must have the character unlocked first by purchasing the pass.
Notable Changes
Aside from the introduction of Goldlewis, several operational changes and bug fixes have been added.
For instance, players can now queue up as spectators even if there are no matches currently available at the Duel Station.
In addition, Spectators will no longer be kicked out of the session after being AFK for quite some time. You can relax as you watch other players battle without fear of getting kicked out.
According to the developers, they are still looking into the issue where some network features are completely inaccessible under certain play environments. Hopefully, they get fixed at the soonest possible time.
