Gundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare announced some changes arriving in the game next year. There’s the 1.5 Year Anniversary expected to arrive at the end of January. Then, there’s also the Ver. 2.3 update, which should arrive sometime in spring.
Before we go into details, the developer team expressed in a statement their gratitude for all the support they received this year. The team added that they managed to exceed 4 million players worldwide and that they “couldn't be more thrilled to know so many people are enjoying the game.”
Anniversary Celebration
For the 1.5 Year Anniversary celebration, the team revealed that they’re “planning a lavish campaign.” While they can’t go into too many details, they did say that players have the chance to get Capsule Tickets for up to 210 pulls. Players will also get a lot of items useful in enhancing their custom Gunplas.
Plus, a new Multi-Mission that features Large Mobile Armor will happen.
Ver. 2.3 Update
The team said that they are working hard to provide the most enjoyable gameplay experience. One of the new things arriving with this update is the New Parts Enhancement Feature.
Through this new feature, players can earn part EXP, part trait EXP, and EX Skill EXP to level up parts. Players can put up as many as three parts with this new feature and earn EXP for each by logging in daily. It means that logging in enough days can result in the part traits and EX Skills to get maxed.
This new feature though isn’t automatically available, and players may need to meet certain conditions to access them.
Players can expect changes on the Crew Chat. Currently, this feature only supports communication through stickers along with present phrases. With the update, new text input is added for free. Once it goes live, this should allow for smoother and more flexible communication between crew members.

As a reward to the player base, the team is giving away these goodies:
- Box Expansion Ticket: 5
- Upgrade Nippers DX (ALL): 100
- Skip Tickets: 100
- Friend Points: 10,000
These are only available to players who started playing before January 5, 2021. Players also need to claim the items by January 13.
