The PC Network Test for Gundam Evolution is all set to start tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET. This is the first-ever free-to-play hero shooter of the Gundam franchise. As an added bonus, Gundam Exia and Marasai [UC] are now part of the roster of playable mobile suits that pilots can try out during the network test.
Gundam Evolution is a free-to-play team-based first-person shooter that features 6v6 PvP combat. There’s also a unique set of challenges that teams must craft and execute formidable offensive and defensive strategies to claim victory. The game offers players three objective-based game modes - Point Capture, Domination, and Destruction.
The main features of the game are:
- Varied Units
- Players can pilot Units from across the Gundam multiverse.
- Each of the different Units features different attack skills, support functions, and HP levels.
- Thrust System
- Activating the Thruster Gauge kicks the action into overdrive.
- Use Thruster Movement to cover long distances fast and Dash for rapid bursts of acceleration.
- With the Thrust System, pilots can move effectively around the battlefield and use sudden surprise movements to their tactical advantage.
- G-Maneuver
- In addition to their innate abilities, Units come equipped with powerful G-Maneuver effects.
- These effects, which can be activated when the G-Maneuver Meter reaches 100%, vary from unit to unit.
Two New Mobile Suits
As mentioned, two new mobile suits have been added to the roster. The first is the Gundam Exia, one of the four Gundams used by Celestial Being as a way to end the war through armed intervention. It was developed to perform well particularly in melee combat regardless of the conditions. This mobile suit is equipped with different GN technology and has high maneuverability that not only allows it to dodge incoming attacks but also quickly closes in on enemy units.
Meanwhile, the Marasai [UC] was developed by Anaheim Electronics and deployed during the Gryps Conflict by the Titans. It was later utilized by the Neo Zeon Remnants. With its Fedayeen Rifle, this mobile suit does well in mid-range combat. It also has the high-voltage Sea Snake which can stun enemy units.
