Halo Infinite will be launched sometime in the holiday season, but players can enroll in the beta program to have a chance to play the game early.
The game will mark the 20th anniversary of the franchise. It has pretty cool features, including better multiplayer, vastly improved graphics, and will take advantage of the current-gen consoles, which enables the 120 FPS mode for much smoother gaming.
While those things are great, the game won’t be out for several months. Fortunately, the developers are giving people a taste with an Insider program, where you can play the beta version.
Are you interested? If so, go to the Halo Insider program website. You have to log in using your Microsoft Xbox account and click the “Sign Up” button that is prominently featured at the top of the page.
The process is fairly straightforward. You have to be at least 18 years old to be eligible for the program. You will be asked to enter your email that the developers will use to communicate with you regarding the program. Then, you will enter your information, country, and time zone.
After that, you will be asked which of the previous Halo games you’ve played before, what platforms you’ve used, controllers, and other related information.
While you can play the beta version on Xbox, you can sign up for the PC beta test as well. Instead of console-related questions, you will be asked information about your PC setup.
Important Reminders
Once you’re in, there are some important things to be aware of. The first is you will sign a confidentiality statement which means that you are not allowed to share any gameplay footage, images, or other related stuff featured in the program with other people.
Second, when you sign up, you are still not a guaranteed beta tester. It seems that people will be selected at random as the slots are limited. According to Microsoft, players are chosen based on “specific goals.” Making sure that your profile is complete and accurate could probably increase your chances of getting selected.
Lastly, if you are chosen, it is important that you continually confer with the developers about your experiences while playing the game. This would provide them with the necessary feedback to help them iron out any kinks before the game’s final release.
So, are you going to enroll yourself in the Insider program?
