I feel like I’m playing consternation bingo with Disney’s upcoming Han Solo standalone film. Director gets fired from project, check , lead actor is reported as being standoffish and difficult, check , reshoots , check , actor gets replaced, check , trailer delay: BINGO. The only good word to come out of the Solo: A Star Wars Story production was the Donald Glover casting, and that was like two year ago.
At any rate, the trailer for Solo (fucking booo!) was said to release last Monday but was delayed. Instead we got a descriptive endangering synopsis of the film :
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
Wait just a minute—you’re telling me Solo, a Han Solo story is gonna have Chewbacca in it? And The Millenium Falcon? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP!
Okay, but Ron Howard ain’t messing around anymore. The first Solo trailer is likely to drop this week. The first promotional material for the film surfaces four months before its theatrical debut.
#Solo trailer this week, most likely Wednesday. Source at the corporate side of AMC tells me Solo trailer will be placed (not attached) with Maze Runner releasing Jan 26. But trailer will hit online days before. Guys been right before. But file as rumor as always. (Errors fixed)
