Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells officially rolled out the winter holiday celebrations. There’s a bunch of seasonal festivities that include special limited-time collection events and a wide range of holiday décor and surprises.
So, what can players expect in this month’s celebration? Players get the chance to collect cards. This helps complete the new and limited-time Christmas in the Wizarding World album. The album unlocks the mythical Unicorn. Hogwarts is celebrating the holidays as well with special décor and weather. Players may even encounter falling snowflakes on their gameboard. If they collect them, they'll earn rewards.
Don’t forget to look out for the Wizard Cracker boost, which drops at random in puzzles. It’s going to give players an extra gem-clearing blast.
By the way, the event is also set to introduce a guest to the game, which you can learn more about in the video below:
In case you didn’t watch the video, Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is bringing none other than the international artist and known Harry Potter fan, Zayn Malik. The artist has worked with developer Zynga to create an avatar with his features. In fact, it was Zayn who worked on the new eyebrow, earring, beard, and eyes. All these will become available for all players at a later date. Zayn has actually shared artwork of his in-game avatar on his personal social channels.
In a statement, Zayn shared that he had fun working with Zynga to create new elements for the avatar creator. He added “seeing the animated version of myself in the game made it way more fun.” And with that, everyone will have the chance “to feel more connected to the game and make their character look more like themselves.”
Meanwhile, Zynga Senior Vice President Yaron Leyvand said that Harry Potter fans know that Christmas is always a special time at Hogwarts. Considering this is the first winter holiday for the game, Leyvand said that they “wanted to treat players to a range of new content and seasonal rewards.”
Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is a match-3 game available for Android and iOS.
