Remember when we said that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will let you duel against Dark Wizards? It turns out the wait is over as this feature is now live. Adversaries are now available for eligible players. The feature arrives with Update 2.16.0.
About Adversaries
Adversaries is a new map-based combat experience that features many iconic villains of the Harry Potter universe. Wizards can fight their way through Adversary chains. And in turn, they can earn SOS Training currency along with completing new Challenge Registry Pages.
To reveal Adversaries available on the map, wizards can use the new Edible Dark Marks. These are a new consumable item that works much like a Tonic for Trace Detection. It spawns Feared Adversaries, and even Lethal Adversaries once available.
There’s also the new Combat Professions Skill Tree. It's unlockable after mastering the Professions Skill Tree. These lessons are sure to help players improve their dueling skills, especially against more advanced foes.
Before you get too excited though, this feature is available for wizards that are at least level 15.

Adversaries Events
With Adversaries now live in the game, new Adversaries Events let wizards engage in magical combat. These are 72-hour long events that replace Wizarding Weekends. They add new and exciting villains, new challenges, and even new rewards.
During Adversaries Events, as the name implies, Adversaries will appear more frequently. There's also a featured Adversary in focus. Do remember that while Feared Adversaries can be encountered on the map anytime, Lethal Adversaries are only available during a Lethal Adversaries Event.
Regardless of which one you take on; both can be challenging. This is why you should invest properly in the Combat Profession. Be sure to master some of the new skills to have a fighting chance. Don’t forget to stack up on important potions as well.
New Event Almost Here
The first Adversaries Event is starting on December 18 at 2:00 PM ET. It will feature Fenrir Greyback and Draco Malfoy. Here are the details for the event:
- Increased sightings of Draco Malfoy and Fenrir Greyback Adversaries.
- Increased spawns of Wit-Sharpening Potion ingredients, such as:
- Armadillo Bile
- Ginger Root
- Ground Scarab Beetles
- Newt Spleen
- Master Notes will reduce all variants of Exstimulo and Wit-Sharpening Potions brew time by 50%.
