Did Blizzard just leak the Hearthstone: Whispers of the Old Gods release date? Reddit detectives discovered that when you go to Battle.net and try to purchase the Curse of Naxxaramas expansion, you get a little warning:

“Starting April 26, 2016 cards from this set will only be playable in Wild play format (which includes the following game modes: solo play, Adventures, Arena, and some Tavern Brawls). You’ll no longer be able to purchase this adventure unless you’ve already unlocked at least one of its wings, but you’ll be able to craft cards from this set using Arcane Dust.”

Blizzard has stated that the Standard and Wild format changes will be released alongside the next Hearthstone expansion, and that adventures not useable in Standard won’t be purchasable anymore. They also announced that the change will happen in April or Early May. April 26 seems like a pretty reasonable date for release. At the rate Blizzard are revealing cards, we should have most, if not the whole set publicly known by then.

The last expansion, The Grand Tournament , came out over eight months ago. Since then we have gotten one adventure, League of Explorers , which has created this stale meta of Secret Paladins and Mid-range Druids we are in now. This is what the Hearthstone community is waiting for, and it can’t come any sooner.
