Hell Let Loose, the hardcore World War 2 multiplayer FPS game, received a major update yesterday. Developer Team 17 released Patch 14 which made intriguing changes, including the tweaked player locomotion. Several bugs related to UI, audio, weapons, and more were squashed as well.
According to the current developer's plan to improve player movement, overall acceleration speed saw a reduction of 20%. This change was to make the transition to maximum speed from a standstill or during sharp movements feel smoother and more realistic.
The devs are aware that tanks need some tweaks. They are currently in the process of figuring out the best solution that doesn't risk the wider game mechanics. Additional details about it will be made available at a later date.
