Sunblink and Sanrio have partnered for the upcoming game Hello Kitty Island Adventure. This narrative-driven life simulation game is set for release on July 28, exclusive to Apple Arcade. In the game, players are invited to take on a tropical getaway where friends and adventures are just around the corner.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure starts when My Melody is invited to run a gift shop at the Big Adventures Park. She invites Hello Kitty and friends to drop by and enjoy a tropical island adventure. However, upon arriving, the friends got separated and the park was abandoned. Players now have to join Hello Kitty and bring back the theme park to its former glory and create what could be the ultimate island paradise.
In the game, players can create an original and unique Sanrio-style avatar and get to know different iconic Sanrio characters, including Kuromi, Badtz-Maru, Cinnamoroll, Chococat, and Aggretsuko. They get to share gifts, complete quests, and join island activities, all to deepen the bonds. They can customize their cabins to attract new visitors from the many friends of Hello Kitty. There are many things to do like:
- Coming up with your very own stylish wardrobe.
- Solving mysterious puzzles.
- Cooking delectable recipes.
- Collecting friendly critters.
- Fishing.
- Exploring the island solo or with a friend. Discover the many secrets of this massive in-game world.
In a statement, Jill Koch of Sanrio shared that at its core, the company is all about the values of friendship, kindness, and inclusivity. She added that this game has Hello Kitty and friends spread kindness, give gifts, and of course, create smiles. She went on to say that much like real life, acts of kindness result in incredible warmth and positive impact on people's lives.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Howe at Sunblink revealed that partnering with Sanrio is both an honor and privilege. She said that the charming world of Hello Kitty and its focus on friendship embodies their philosophy in making games. Howe went on to say that they're excited for players to be with the iconic Sanrio characters in a rich, open world that they can make their own.
