After all the different mini-events, the big one is almost here. That’s right! Pokémon Go Fest 2020 is just a day away. Today we’re going to look at the different things you can do in order to make the most of the experience.
Before we can discuss all of that, though, there’s one important thing that you must do and that is get a ticket. It’s priced at $14.99 and while that initially appears to be rather pricey, it’s actually for the entire two-day festival instead of just one day.
To get a ticket, all you need to do is go to the shop and then tap the Pokémon Go Fest 2020 image. After that, tap the Buy button and once you tap OK, the ticket should be in the item bag. A quick reminder, tickets can’t be purchased using PokéCoins.
While the event is indeed a day away, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do until then. For starters, you can hang out at the Virtual Team Lounge and see the global kickoff keynote from none other than Niantic founder and CEO John Hanke. It’s going to be today, July 24, at 5:00 PM EDT. The Virtual Team Lounge is actually a good place for you to take a break from catching Pokémon during the festival. Learn more on what you can expect here.
Pokémon Go Fest 2020 may be purely online, but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate it in the real world. Many of you may still be at home due to quarantine measures, but that shouldn’t stop you from sprucing up your home. Celebrate this year’s festival with none other than the Print at Home Kit. See what’s available for you here.
Another tip is that if you’re still below Level 10, you have until today to reach that milestone. This is to make sure that when you join the festival, you’re sure to make the most of it.
During the Pokémon Go Fest 2020, be sure to have a lot of Incense on hand. Not only do they last for one hour instead of 30 minutes, but they are also better when it comes to attracting featured Pokémon. Don’t forget to explore all habitats as well. On the first day, there’s going to be five themed habitats that rotate each hour. Each habitat is going to feature a different Pokémon.
Since this is indeed a Pokémon Go Fest event, there’s the usual Ultra Unlock bonus. On the first day of the festival, there’s going to be a total of 32 global challenges that Trainers around the world need to complete in the Global Challenge Arena by working together. For every eight challenges collectively completed, an extra Ultra Unlock event week is unlocked.
