Google has apparently heard weary travelers’ pleas, bestowing upon them Freeman’s unmistakable voice via GPS navigation. Though Google’s free Waze navigation app has incorporated numerous authoritative celebrity voices such as Darth Vader, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mr. T over the years, the company said in a statement that Morgan Freeman was “far and away” the most requested.
The new Morgan Freeman voice for Waze serves two purposes: to entertain drivers and to put in a plug for Freeman’s upcoming London Has Fallen film in which he plays the Vice President. In keeping with the tie-in, GPS Freeman addresses the driver as the President.
Some of the catch phrases Freeman will insert into your directions include:

- "The time has arrived, President Wazer. The world awaits your commands."
- "You've arrived. It's been my honor and duty to see you through this mission."

How To Get Morgan Freeman Voice On Waze GPS Navigation (No Download Required)
To get Morgan Freeman as your GPS navigation voice, you will need to do the following:
- Make sure Google’s free Waze app is installed on your iOS or Android device.
- Check that you have the latest version of the app installed
On iOS:
- Go to Settings by tapping on Waze icon in lower left-hand corner of app. A new slide out screen will appear. In the upper left-hand corner you’ll see a gear icon. Tap on it.
- Tap on Sound>Voice Language> eng-Morgan Freeman
On Android:
- Go to Settings in the app > Sound> Voice Language? Morgan Freeman
Once you’ve selected Morgan Freeman’s voice, start navigation and he’ll be with you every step of the way!
