The announcement that the LOOT.BET DOTA Summit 12 is happening this week may have been a surprise to many in the Dota 2 community. After all, who would have expected that a tournament would happen in the middle of a Valve-sponsored Minor and Major?

While the announcement may have been on short notice, we're here to give you the rundown on where you can watch the tournament. With many events and tournaments being postponed, or even canceled, due to the threat of the coronavirus, watching online is the best option.

Steam

If you're a Dota 2 casual player, then watching the Summit 12 is going to be a lot easier. First you need to download and then install Steam. Once that's done, you need to download and install the Dota 2 client. After all that, just follow these steps:

  • On the upper part click the "Watch" option.
  • Click on "Tournaments."
  • Since this is not a Valve-sanctioned event, go to "Professional."
  • Look for LOOT.BET DOTA Summit 12 then click "View."

However, the matches are only going to appear once the tournament has officially started. If you miss one match, it's still going to be there to watch later.
