Hungry Shark World has broken 10 million downloads worldwide in less than six days according to a press release Ubisoft has published. Ubisoft owns the developers behind Hungry Shark World, Future Games of London (FGOL). It looks like Ubisoft’s investment is paying off as Hungry Shark World has become the second biggest mobile game release this year.
For the uninitiated, Hungry Shark World is the successor to Hungry Shark Evolution, which is also top-rated on both the iOS App Store and the Android’s Google Play store (4.5/5 stars). This makes Hungry Shark World the sixth installment in FGOL’s shark series since the first game was released in late 2012.
Unlike Hungry Shark Evolution , the sharks in Hungry Shark World are all real, based on actual shark species. In total, Hungry Shark World has included 17 shark species split across 7 different shark size tiers, playable in three different underwater worlds: the Arabian Sea, Pacific Island and the Arctic ocean.
